Document Development Exposition: White Paper

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
I started this assignment by reading my reaction book and google searching problems that Islands
face. I learned about how weather changes have affected islands for the worse and picked it as my
topic. I then created a outline of my ideas and started writing.

First Draft (for peer editing)

My initial draft was very bare bones and needed more work and detail in certain sections. I used the
peer review as an opportunity to learn about what changes I needed to make. From this I added a
better cover page along with figures to use in the document.

Second Draft (for your packet)

For my packet I put all my ideas and changes together along with an updated table of contents along
with a list of my sources.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

For the final I added a table of figures, fixed the cover page, and changed my in-text citations. From
this assignment I learned how to write a formal report about a topic for a company who may be
looking to make a change.
