Document Development Exposition: Workplace Correspondence

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
When planning my workplace correspondence, I started by gathering all my information that was
important and that needs to be talked about. This included the results of the test, the problems of
the instructions, and solutions to the problems.

First Draft (for peer editing)

After planning, I filled in the gaps with detail to connect the dots and make it easier to understand. I
didn’t get very many edits during peer review.

Second Draft (for your packet)

For my second draft, I added more detail to my results so they were clearer. I also had to change my
email layout. I changed the headings and took away the color and made them bold and left the color
in the memo.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

For my final draft I had to add more detail to my email. I also had to re word some sentences in my
memo and change “people” and “users” to participants so it is consistent throughout.
