Document Development Exposition: Instructions

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
Some challenges I had with this assignment would be the best colors and placing of certain images.
Contrast on the labeled images was hard to achieve but with feedback from the professor I was able
to tweak it some more. Another challenge was making sure the information made sense for an
amateur user who may not have encountered the equipment used. I learned how to be concise and
also where to include visuals.

First Draft (for peer editing)

In this draft I included all the steps for prepping and pulling espresso, but it lacked the detailed
pictures. As well as better formatting and visuals.

Second Draft (for your packet)

For this draft I implemented all the suggestions from my peers’ edits. I added in some more detailed
pictures, changed colors for headings, and included an overview.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

For this final draft I took the feedback from my professor and included all the recommendations that
she had. I made sure to show track changes so the edits were visible. Then I cleaned it up for the final
draft.
