3D Basic Labeling Tutorial

Steps:

I. 3D Task

We have here a sample of a 3D Task

II. Label

First Label the roof based on the house’s footprint, not by the actual triangular shape of
its roof.

On the lower left part it may look like a ground, it is the house’s balcony so you need to
label it too.

III. Vector

Vector: Direction Angles of a 3D Building

First we need to set our vector, only 1 vector per task, it all affect all features within a
task once you set it.

Click the Vector tool or press “3”, click an edge or a sidewall then trace the angle of the
house/building and click again to set the end point.

Then press Space to set the vector. A pop-up should appear.

IV. Select

Now we need to select the label

V. 3D Lines

After we Select our Label, HOLD CTRL KEY, then DRAG the label and 3D lines will
appear, after you set the 3D lines, release the mouse first, then release CTRL.
