Stepwise guide
• Select 3D modelling

• Now X and Y axis are shown. To view Axis,
• Click on unsave view and select SE Isometrics

• To take UCS icon to the left side,
• type UCSICON Click enter Select noorigin

• To create 3D object at first you will have to create 2D Sketch on XY
plane

• Then you will have to give thickness to it in Z axis

• Now 3D tools have added on the left side.

• Eg: modelling, mesh,solid editing

• Now 2D commands have shifted on the right side

 • At first create the 2D sketch

• Make sure to prepare a close rectangle. If your shape is open then it will not prepare a 3D

Presspull Command
• To make our rectangle to 3D we are using the press pull command

 Click on press pull

Take cursor inside the shape which you want to convert into 3D

Then it will highlight that shape, once it highlights the boundary shape then click there

Then take your cursor on the side where you want to give the thickness ( In our object that is
upside)

Now your object is seen in 2D wire frame, To give your object a solid look,
• Click on 2D wireframe and select shaded with edges

If you get grids on your 3D object switch off grid icon at the tools status bar

How to create the circular hole

1. Create reference edges

• Extract edges Select copy edges

 Click on copy edges Select the line Press enter
• To stop the command press exit and again exit

 To create the hole:
Click on circle command

Specify the centre point

Then give the radius and create the circle

Click on presspull

Tick your cursor inside one portion of the circle

To select other portions click on multiple at command bar, and select all the remaining portions

 To erase the extra edges:

Type E and select erase/ click on Select the needed edge to Click enter

To see trough the hole:
Press SHIFT + Middle mouse button and drag the mouse
or
type 3D rotate command on command bar and select the rotational axis and rotate the
object

Follow a similar procedure to draw the extruded rectangular portion and complete your
drawing
