Nomenclature of coordination

compounds
Rules of nomenclature:
1. Name of cation first
2. Name of ligand
I. If more then one type ligand present then write in
alphabetical order
II. If more then one same type of ligands present then use
mono, di etc as prefix
III. In case of bivalent ligand, use bis, tris etc as prefix and write
ligand name in small bracket after prefix
3. Name of central atom (check charge on coordination
entity)
4. Oxidation of centratol atom in roman, in small bracket
