Complete your
vehicle pre-inspection
on the Discovery app

All vehicles, except new vehicles, insured by Discovery Insure need to complete a pre-inspection within five days
of their date of commencement. The vehicle pre-inspection is necessary to assess the condition of your vehicle
before your cover starts and to determine if the vehicle has any pre-existing damage.

The simplest and easiest way for you to complete your vehicle pre-inspection is through the Discovery app.

Ensure you have created a
Discovery profile
Go to www.discovery.co.za

Enter your South African ID
number or passport number

profile and downloaded the Discovery

How to complete your vehicle pre-inspection on the Discovery app

Log in to your Discovery app Navigate to Car and Navigate to Self-service and
home insurance on the tap on Pre-inspections(s)
portfolio screen or using
the side navigation

Select the vehicle for You will need to take Tap to submit
which you want to complete photos of the front, rear,
the pre-inspection left and right side of the
vehicle and the licence disc.
You will also need to fill in
your vehicle registration
number and VIN number

At claims stage, Discovery Insure completes a thorough investigation by considering all relevant factors of the claim. If you have not
completed your pre-inspection and we find that the lack of pre-inspection is material to the claim, you may not be covered.
