Purpose and Instructions
Purpose
This Cisco VPN with Microsoft MFA WAH 1.5 Login Guide will step you through the login process to:
1. Log in to your computer and Cisco VPN
2. Authenticate with Microsoft MFA

Microsoft MFA – Authenticator


Even if you have already set up Microsoft MFA, make sure you follow these steps below to register using the Microsoft
Authenticator app versus receiving a text message to your mobile phone.

The Microsoft Authenticator App works on a data connection, so you only need a WiFi connection to be able to verify your O365
sign-in instead of requiring cell service to receive the text message.

1. Go to the following link (copy and paste into Internet Explorer) and log in with your Alorica email address or
userid@alorica.com and password. Example: Alorica.User@alorica.com or ab001234567@alorica.com

2. Change your preferred option to “Notify you through the app”

3. Check the box for “Authenticator app”

4. Click on Set up Authenticator app. You will be given a QR Code you will need to scan with your phone in step 10.

5. Go to your mobile phone and download the Microsoft Authenticator app from your mobile device’s app store.

6. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device.

7. If prompted select Allow notifications.

8. Select Add account.

9. Select Work or school account

10. Use your phone to scan the QR code you were given in step 4.

11. Click next after you have successfully scanned the code.

12. Your app setup will be verified. Select approve on your phone when prompted.

13. After completing verification select Save on the Additional Security Verification webpage.

14. You will receive a verification required pop-up. Select Verify preferred option.

15. Select Approve on your mobile device to complete the verification. Click Close on the “Updates successful” window.

16. You have completed the setup of the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Logging into your Alorica Device

1. Upon booting up your device, you will see the typical series of startup screens.

2. At the Security Notice screen, click on OK.

3. On the lower right hand corner of the screen you’ll see various icons.

4. Hover over and click on the Network sign-in icon.

5. You may see the Cisco Status icon on the lower left hand side of the screen, shown below. Click on the Status icon. If you do
not see this, continue to step 6.

6. The Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client window will appear. Ensure the address is entered as
“azure-apac-vpn.alorica.net” and click Connect.

7. At the login prompt, enter your regular PC username and password. Click OK.
Sample username: ab001234567@alorica.com

8. The system will appear to be connecting and look like the image below. Go immediately to step 9.

9. Go to your mobile phone and look for the notification from your Microsoft Authenticator app. The image below is from an
iPhone’s lock screen and will look different on an Android device. Select the notification to go to the Authenticator app.

10. The Authenticator app will ask whether you approve of signing in. Select Approve.

11. Back at your computer, you will see a Cisco AnyConnect warning window. Click Accept.

12. You’ll be asked to log in again. Do so using your regular computer login and password as before.

13. The system will log you in. This will take anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes to complete.

You have completed the login to the system.
