Main Responsibilities

• Check the design of each blast to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, that when
the blast occurs, it does not create a hazard.
• Ensures that explosives are stored, handled and used in a manner that does not pose a
risk to human health and safety. people on or off site, and bring anything that could
negatively impact this to the attention of the project managers right away.
• Ensures that a proper written blast specification is produced for each project before
working with explosives begins.
 • Ensures that unsafe equipment and accessories are removed from use immediately.
• Ensures that only authorized persons carry out work with explosives and are authorized
in writing by the Ministry of the Interior.
• Ensures that all shots are fired from a safe location Inspects the face and certifies that
the burst is free of misfires after completing the timeout
• Monitors and audits compliance with explosives regulations in accordance with
company policy.

Requirements for the Role

• Certified Mining Engineer

• Experience in pit technical assistance, preferably more than 5 years of proven
experience.
• Experience leading projects, study development, testing and demonstrations.
• Likewise, they must be able to collect and analyze relevant information for the
preparation of reports and support the results to the external and internal client.
• Proficiency in blasting software, desirable Shotplus, blast design, vibrations, energy
halos, etc.
• Fragmentation analysis and modeling.
• Big data analysis tools, PowerBI, other. Desirable; Knowledge in programming.
• Handling of equipment for measuring VOD, vibrations, quality control of explosives in
the field and laboratory, drone operation. Installation of recessed geophones is
desirable.
• Knowledge in the design of pyrotechnic and electronic initiation sequences.
• Intermediate English.
• Driver's license (mining experience) is required.
• Ability to work at height and availability to travel (place of residence, preferably, Lima,
Junín and Cerro de Pasco)
