OBJECTIVE:
To to create, administer, and implement comprehensive social welfare
programs to improve the living conditions and empower disadvantaged children,
youth, women, seniors, people with disabilities, families in crisis or at risk, and
communities in need.

SCOPE:
This covers the specified social services and programs that are offered by the office.

DEFINITION OF TERMS:
DSWD - Department of Social Welfare & Development
MSWDO - Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office, local government unit of DSWD
RSW/SWDO - Registered Social Worker/Social Worker Development Officer, A
professional who specialize in clinical counselling are trained to conduct assessments of
an individual's functioning; including their biological, psychological, social, emotional and
cultural needs.
