In this section, the researcher reviewed some of the related studies related to oil

dispensing and collecting apparatus and operations manual. This section provides an

overview of studies that inform the research and those that have implications for the

findings.

According to the study conducted by Bowman et. al. (2002) entitled “The

operations manual: a mechanism for improving the research process,” results showed

that the operations manual increases reliability and reproducibility of the research while

improving the management of study processes. It can prevent costly and untimely delays

or errors in the conduct of research.5 The previous study is related to the present study

as the apparatus requires an operations manual. However, it differs from the present

study as the operations manual is solely for the apparatus.

Pursuant to the study conducted by Sadique et. al. (2015) entitled “Design Consideration
of Oil Measuring & Dispensing Machine”, results showed that the main requirement from
this machine is its metering or measuring quality. Accuracy of measuring is very less in
various machines. Hence, the basic theme behind this research is to improve these
disadvantages of oil dispenser machine.
