“Dear Reader”:

This letter is a reflection on all I have learned in the English class trough this semester

Thanks to the writing process, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of how writing is
supposed to be structured and improve. writing is a recursive process that it involves
revisiting and revising ideas throughout the writing process. We also learned a lot about the
six traits of writing which help a lot with understanding of the rules of grammar, punctuation,
and other conventions of standard written English. Throughout the course, I learned that
research is an integral part of effective writing. I developed a deeper understanding of how to
conduct research, evaluate sources, and utilize them to strengthen my arguments.

I learned that writing involves several stages, including prewriting, drafting, revision, and
editing/proofreading. Each stage allowed me to develop my ideas further and refine my
arguments. The revision stage, in particular, was helpful for me to improve my writing. By
re-reading my paper, and making necessary changes. I was able to develop a more coherent
and structured argument that liked one idea to the next, Especially it came together in the
argument paper where the structure was very important to portray the ideas efficiently. We
can see through my work that after making revisions to the portrait of a person essay I had a
better understanding of the standard written English. Because of it, I could better structure
and write my contrast and comparison essay which I consider was good.

.I discovered that one of the most common errors I made was in my use of punctuation,
especially with the comma useIt was noticeable in the “Portrait of a Person” paper where I
did not understand the semicolon rule and I also had a few fragments and R/S C/S. I think I
got better paper after paper and I only had one mistake in this section in the definition essay. .
I gained a deeper understanding of the rules of grammar, and punctuation, by learning from
my mistakes and applying the feedback, I was able to improve my writing and do better. I
equally was able to develop a more coherent and structured argument that liked one idea to
the next, Especially it came together in the argument paper where the structure was very
important to portray the ideas efficiently

Throughout the course, I learned that research is an integral part of effective writing. I
developed a deeper understanding of how to conduct research, evaluate sources, and utilize
them to strengthen my arguments. I also familiarized myself with the APA formatting to cite
my sources accurately. In the Argumentative paper, I tried to utilize a range of good quality
sources to support my arguments Where on the fauvism one I tried to find something that
matched the text I wrote. I learn to better evaluate each source's credibility and relevance to
ensure that I only used t appropriate and reliable information. In terms of APA formatting, I
learned to use in-text citations to attribute ideas to their original sources and include a
reference list at the end of my paper, especially in the argumentative paper where a cite an
artiste I .feel confident that I can continue to apply these skills in my future writings

Overall, I am most proud of my ability to effectively utilize research techniques to support

my arguments. Through the writing process, I have become more organized, coherent, and
confident in my writing. I will continue to apply these skills in my future writings for other
classes. I feel like I took good advice from the feedback and help I have received and look
forward to continuing to improve my writing skills in the future.

Sincerely,
