REFLECTION

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood

neurodevelopmental disorders. It is usually diagnosed in childhood and continues into adulthood. As we
start doing this activity we begin with brainstorming together with my groupmates. The first topic we
thought is about science which is about solar system, we chose this topic because it is entertaining and
engaging for children. But we also considered what activities are included here, and we realized that if
we do this IM about solar system, we will spend a lot of money and time. That's why we came up with a
new topic. This is where we came up with the second suggestion, which is about animals, such as
animals that live on land and in water. We can make it a topic, but the problem is that it does not belong
in the topic that ma’am assigned to us at our grade level. So here's the last one, which is about plants,
and this is where we balanced everything we thought about what activities are possible for children with
ADHD.

Children with ADHD may have trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors (may act
without thinking about what the result will be), or be overly active. Because children with this condition
are hyperactive, inattentive, and impulsive, we designed their learning styles to be physical, kinesthetic,
visual, or game-based. That is why we created our first IM, which is a magic basket containing various
plant life from the water and land, and the second is the bingo plants. And in the instructional technique
that we used here, the teacher will first discuss terrestrial plants and aquatic plants, as well as their
characteristics. The second activity is group work, in which the teacher will assign activities to each
group. Individual or pair is the third option. Given an idea or insight to our instructional technique, we
should not have done individual activities because our focus topic is learners with adhd, so how?
According to Ma'am, we are in inclusive education, which means that we do not only focus on children
with this condition. In the twenty-first century, we must include students from various backgrounds. As
future teachers, we must plan not only how we will manage the classroom and our students, but also
how we will do or choose IMs that will help them learn.
