shows how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990s.

Topic 3: The chart and table below give information about tourists at a particular holiday resort in Australia.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Topic 1: Education: Some universities now offer their courses on the Internet so that people can study
online. Is this a positive or negative development?

Topic 2: Food waste: Nowadays people waste a lot of food that was bought from shops and
restaurants. Why do you think people waste food? What can be done to reduce the amount of food
they throw away?
Topic 3: In many countries, children are becoming overweight and unhealthy. Some people think that
the government should have the responsibility. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

1. Feeling unsafe: People today do not feel safe either at home or when they are out. What are the causes?
What are the solutions?
2. Tourism: Describe the advantages and disadvantages of tourism in the modern world. Do you think that
benefits of tourism outweigh its drawbacks?
3. Education: Some people believe that studying at university or college is the best route to a successful career,
while others believe that it is better to get a job straight after school. Discuss both views and give your
opinion.
