Subject: Requesting a Leave of Absence

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope this letter finds you well. I and my family have been planning a family trip to Europe for
quite a while, and I would appreciate it if I could make it by taking a few days' leave from work
and enjoy a much needed break.

I am requesting a leave from May 1 to May 5, which is five days. During this time, I will make
sure to complete my current assignments and make sure I hand over any important files or
documents that may be needed in my absence.

I understand that my absence may have some impact on the project and increase the workload a
little bit for others. Therefore, I will make a full effort to minimize any problems and ensure that
my colleagues will cover my work in my absence. I will also be available on my phone in case of
any emergencies.

I believe that taking this vacation will be refreshing and make me more productive and efficient.
Thank you for your consideration of my request. I appreciate your understanding and support.

Subject: Denial of Request for Time Off

Dear Abhijeet,

I received your recent request for five days' leave from May 1 to May 5. We appreciate your
dedication and effort to your work and respect your desire to take a break with your family.

Unfortunately, due to recent projects and workload, we really need your presence in the new
project this month. While we understand the importance of taking time off to rest and recharge,
we really cannot let you off this month due to these new projects.

I am aware that this will be disappointing for you, but I am sure we can work together on this to
find you a suitable solution. We can discuss alternative dates or options for taking time off may
be in June after we are stable on the project and may have some extra hands on the project.

Once again we appreciate your dedication and commitment. Hopefully, we can work this out
together. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in this matter.
