Instructional technology is that technology in education provides the

necessary tools, resources, and infrastructure to implement instructional
technology effectively. Instructional technology, in turn, utilizes these
technologies to design, develop, and implement pedagogical strategies and
materials that improve teaching and learning experiences.

Technology in education refers to the use of various technological tools, devices, and resources to
enhance teaching and learning experiences. Instructional technology, on the other hand, focuses
specifically on the design, development, and implementation of effective and efficient instructional
materials and strategies. Technology in education encompasses a broad range of tools, such as
computers, tablets, interactive whiteboards, educational software, online platforms, multimedia
resources, and communication devices.

The connection between technology in education and instructional technology lies in how technology
is employed to enhance instructional practices. Instructional technology utilizes various educational
technologies to create engaging and interactive learning experiences, customize instruction to
individual student needs, facilitate collaboration and communication, provide instant feedback, and
enable assessment and analytics. Moreover, technology in education enables the integration of
instructional technology by providing the infrastructure, tools, and resources necessary for its
implementation. Without technology, instructional strategies and materials designed by instructional
technologists may not be feasible or effective.
