Dubai

Dubai is one of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), situated on the Persian
Gulf. It borders Abu Dhabi to the south, Sharjah to the northeast, and
Oman to the southeast. Dubai is backed by the Arabian Desert. Some
airlines travel to Dubai regularly. Apart from Dubai Airport, another
option would be to fly into Sharjah International Airport which operates
Air Arabia. Sharjah is extremely close to Dubai and you can take a taxi to
Dubai for just Dh 50. The best time to visit Dubai is from November to
March – during these months, you can bask in the warmth of the United
Arab Emirates' desert-like climate and avoid the peak of the heat. There
is a delicate balance of old and new in Dubai, resulting in a smorgasbord
of things to do. You can spend your mornings sprawled out
along Jumeirah Public Beach and your afternoons shredding powder
at Ski Dubai. Or you can start your day haggling at the traditional Gold
and Spice Souks before exercising your credit card at the
contemporary Dubai Mall. But first thing's first: Get to know the city.
Head straight to the top of the Burj Khalifa (the world's tallest building)
where you'll find incredible views stretching into the Persian Gulf.
Tourism has over time become an important leisure activity and Dubai,
knowing this, has sought to become the leading tourist destination in
the world. It boasts of excellent leisure facilities such as shopping malls,
water parks, theme parks, and hotels. The introduction of even newer
projects such as the Dubai World Central and new airports for
passenger traffic is bound to increase further these visitors. It is truly an
enviable environment. Invasive species are a key factor with negative
effects on the UAE's biodiversity, carbon footprints, limited water
sources, overfishing, waste generation, air pollution, land degradation.
