Since our country is not entirely open when it comes to sex topics, this kind of advertisement is
somehow debatable. Also, since we live in a conservative country we are still having a hard time to
open it in a conversation. Just like in South Korea, this type of advertisements is not full accepted and
understandable here in the Philippines. That is why, as the title implied “advertisements you can never
watch”, this means that there are still places who are not yet ready in taking part with this type of
awareness. Just like here in the Philippines, there are people who are already knowledgeable and ready
to open this kind of topic to the public, but as elders still make a stand in the society, debates may still
arise. Also, one reason that I see why this kind of advertisements are arguable is that, we seem to
embrace our cultural beliefs too much, to the point that we neglect the important issues of the world.
Thus, this type of advertisements are debatable in some parts of the world due to our cultural
differences.

I do believe that they still achieve their purpose by making it more colorful and pleasing to the eye.
Since the advertisement aims to promote vibrators as well as its benefits, I’am expecting that it was a
bit gross, but on what I saw, they represented it through symbols which appears acceptable to some
viewers.

Although it was somehow sensitive to some of the viewers, it seems that it still conveys a message for
everyone. Except of the physical benefits it gives, I guess what it wants to imply is to tell people how
to address and respect this kind of topic. As this kind of matter is hard to normalize since it is quite
intimate, I think its inner message is to also enlighten people that is healthy and not dirty. This is more
likely an awareness and understanding not only to where it originates but to the entire world.
