DGRI @
The residences at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI) provide
first-class free accommodation for our undergraduates and our
doctors in training. We hope you will enjoy your time here.
Collecting Keys
Keys will be available from the hospital switchboard
which is located just inside the front door of Dumfries
& Galloway Royal Infirmary. Go through the main
doors into the atrium and you will see a small hatch to
your right and a door - press the buzzer at the door for
assistance.
When leaving, please vacate your room by 10.00am and
return your keys to switchboard.

Facilities
Hospital accommodation is located on site, no more than
a couple of minutes walk from the hospital.
All flats have three or four en-suite bedrooms with a
shared kitchen/dining room/living room area. Kitchens
are well equipped with items such as washing machines,
tumble dryers, dishwashers, fridge freezer, crockery,
cutlery. Bedrooms are furnished, there is no room
for any additional large pieces of furniture. Beds have
hospital type bedding on them (sheets and blankets).
There is a linen room in Block 2, Ground Floor where
spare sheets and blankets are available. You can of course
bring your own bedding (duvet etc.), buy when you get
here, or purchase online from e.g. https://www.unikitout.
com/

Mail is delivered to the Education Centre (FY1s & Undergraduates) and to your
department for other training grades. Parcels for all staff will be delivered to the
Doctors’ Mess in the Education Centre after 4pm. Please give advance warning if
bulky items are ordered.
