MY REFLECTION: (50 pts.)HOW YOU AND YOUR FAMILY EXPERIENCE STRESS. HOW
ARE YOU ABLE TO OVERCOME STRESS? WRITE DOWN YOUR THOUGHTS AND
FEELINGS IN NO LESS THAN 300 WORDS.
I and my family often experience stress due to various factors. Academic pressure, social
expectations, financial constraints, and personal challenges contribute to this stress. For me as a
students, the pressure to excel in academics, perform well in exams, manage extracurricular
activities, and navigate the complexities of social interactions can be overwhelming. On the other
hand, my family may face stressors related to supporting my education, maintaining a work-life
balance, financial burdens, and ensuring a nurturing environment. To overcome stress, both me
and my family employ various strategies. Firstly, open communication plays a pivotal role. I am
sharing my concerns with family members and vice versa creates a supportive environment.
Seeking professional help, such as counseling or therapy, is another effective way to manage my
stress. These avenues offer guidance on coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and
ways to build resilience. For me, time management and setting realistic goals also aid in
alleviating stress. Creating a balanced routine that includes study time, relaxation, hobbies, and
family bonding like going to nature walks or picnic helps maintain a healthier lifestyle.
Additionally, practicing mindfulness, meditation, reading bible, or yoga contributes to mental
well-being for me and to my family because for us mindfulness practices, such as meditation and
breathing exercises, are integral components of our coping mechanism. These moments of quiet
introspection aid in resetting our perspectives and reorienting our focus, fostering a more positive
outlook amidst challenging circumstances. Support systems beyond our immediate family circle
are also instrumental. Seeking advice from trusted friends, engaging with mentors, or tapping
into community networks provides diverse viewpoints and additional resources to effectively
navigate stress. Furthermore, celebrating achievements has become a learned habit. It serves as a
means to acknowledge our efforts, instill motivation, and propel us forward, even in the face of
adversity and the moment my family appreciate my efforts I felt so happy and I had a strength to
face the challenges I encountered even how stressful it is When I feel stress, I surrender it all to
my heavenly father because the moment I pray, I felt calmness and peace. Overall, overcoming
stress within my family revolves around open communication, adept time management, healthy
habits, mindfulness practices, and a robust support system. These combined efforts construct an
environment where stress is recognized but never allowed to overshadow our collective well-
being.
