I firmly believe that the managerial influence I've acquired from exposure to leaders
includes the ability to see the value of establishing open communication. For instance, leaders in
our barangay or even here in school, I observed that communication is the basis or foundation of
their relationship towards people, they influenced me to use communication as a tool to share my
ideas with others or with my groupmates, resolve conflicts, collaborate, and create a synergy that
promotes a better understanding of what we are trying to accomplish. Teachers, on the other
hand, also helped me become a better listener. For instance, they helped me to understand how
crucial it is for my members to feel free to express their opinions and I am always open for
suggestions. I always take the time to hear what they have to say and to understand their
perspectives, in which I perceived that plays a big role for the team to accomplish our shared
objectives.

In addition, my family taught me the value of preparation. Since I was a little child, my
mother has frequently reminded me and my siblings how important it is to be always prepared.
With that, it influenced me to constantly ready my belongings before heading to the school or
before doing anything. It makes sense because being prepared will actually boost your confidence
and reduce your anxiety. Being ready will give you confidence that you can complete the task at
hand or your objectives successfully. Furthermore, these people have also taught me to always
be attentive about the choices I’ll make. They help me understand how important it is to be mindful
when it comes to decision making because doing so will enable us to make a clear decision and
to be more efficient and effective in problem-solving.
