Environmental pollution is a global problem and many people think that such a

global issue can hardly be solved by any single individual, while some others
disagree with that idea. I believe it requires a cumulative effort from the whole
community and government to find an answer to this trouble.
Some people assume that environmental pollution can never be solve by an
individual. For example, a large portion of oil is transferred from country to
another with the help of cargo ships, any accident can also lead to thousands of
tons of toxic oil spreading over the ocean. Researches show that oil exporting
companies seem to be the main cause of water contamination in oceans.
Therefore, community clearly can not help anything in this issue, and only
government is able to prevent this situation by enforcing stricter regulation.
In contrast, some other problems of environmental pollution need the
cumulative effort from the whole community such as soil and air pollution.
Firstly, government are attempting to reduce deforestation because people
believe that deforestation is the main reason for soil pollution. Hence,
individual’s responsibility is to plant trees as many as possible, because this
helps to cut down the affect from deforestation. In the other hand, people also
can support the government to tackle air pollution by walking instead of using
personal mean of transport when traveling in a short distance. Accordingly,
each of us have to be aware of our responsibility is to help the authorities reduce
the negative issue for environment all over the world.
In conclusion, environmental pollution is a global issue, require effort from
each individual in community. I believe that we can solve this problem widely
around the world only if we unite to struggle with it.
