Description

EMVCo introduced the Specification Bulletin 230 - Terminal Information to Enhance Contactless
Application Selection. Related to this bulletin, a new test case is introduced in the EMVCo Type
Approval Book A & B Test Cases – version 2.8a

Objective: 1.1.1.1 To ensure that the reader shall support a first Outcome
‘Online Requested’ followed by a restart in D with the second
Outcome ’Try Another Interface’.

Procedure: Entry Point transaction is performed for [Termsetting1] with [Lt setting1.152]
(1st Outcome Start = ’D’, ‘Online Request’, online response data = ‘EMV Data’,
Issuer Authentication Data (tag 91) is received; 2nd Outcome, ‘Try Another
Interface’).
Pass Criteria:
• The LT shall not receive the SELECT command with PPSE at 2 nd

restart
• The LT shall not receive the SELECT AID ‘A0000000040004’
(corresponding to the APP4 AID) at 2nd restart
• The UI Request on Outcome: MSG ID ‘18’ (“Please insert or swipe
card”) is correctly displayed at 2nd Outcome.
