KENANGA ROOM OF ARIFIN ACHMAD HOSPITAL, PEKANBARU CITY.

ABSTRAC

Wound management in DM patients can be done with non-pharmacological


therapy. Honey is a non-pharmacological therapy that is usually given in treating
DM wounds. Honey contains 3 times more vitamin C than vitamin serum which is
good for collagen synthesis. The osmotic properties of honey can improve blood
circulation, so that the wound area gets adequate nutrition. The aim of the
research was to determine nursing care regarding the effect of giving honey in
treating diabetic wounds in DM patients in the Kenanga Room at Arifin Achmad
Regional Hospital, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted on July 1, 2023,
starting from the assessment, data analysis, diagnosis, intervention,
implementation and evaluation stages. Nursing implementation was carried out
for 3 days. The results of the research were obtained after giving honey to Mr. .5
cm. The conclusion is that there is an effect of giving honey in treating diabetic
wounds in DM patients in the Kenanga Room at Arifin Achmad Regional
Hospital, Pekanbaru City. It is hoped that DM patients can maintain a diet that is
in accordance with the DM diet and for treating diabetic wounds can be applied
using honey.
