ASSIGNMENT
1. How do you prioritize self-care in your daily routine?
Self-care is now overlooked by many yet I give myself some time when I don’t communicate
with anyone, go to my room, dim the lights, and think of good moment that happen recently.
This not only helps me cheer my mood but also make my pinch of anxiety go away.

2. What strategies do you use to manage stress effectively?


 Sitting alone
 Skin care helps reducing my stress as brain diverts from my tangled thoughts
 Spending significant time with my family
 Dining out with friends
 Coffee consumption helps too

3. How do you cope with feelings of anxiety or depression?


Well, as mentioned above I do get over my anxieties but I’m a very emotional person, as minute
situation can also burst my emotions, but by sitting alone and reminiscing all the beautiful
moments that occurred in my life holds the tendency to cope with my feelings.

4. How do you address and manage feelings of overwhelm or burnout?


Having an introvert personality, it is hard for me to address my personality, but I got my family
whom I can rely on and about managing the feelings of overwhelm, it actually depends on the
situation that got me into it. Mostly I share it with my friends who have known me for 12 years.

5. Have you developed any personalized coping mechanisms that work well for

you?

No, I think having a strong and genuine personality is what attracts you.

6. What misconceptions about mental health would you like to correct or address?

Well, living in a third world country where people hardly accept that teenagers can go through
mental health problems is the only mind set I wanna change.

7. How do you define self-care, and what does it involve for you?

Self-care is not letting anyone manipulate you, not giving any human the privilege to humiliate
your mental health, giving yourself social life you feel comfort in and consuming healthy diet.

8. Do you believe there's enough awareness about mental health in society?

Well talking about all over Pakistan, No. there is not as illiterate people have not be aware of mental
health and the consequences it holds.

9. How do you balance work or study commitments with your mental health

needs?

Study commitments not only consumes your time but your mental peace too as you work overtime on
assignments. My technique is to get away from my screen or the work I’m working on and do skin care
as it changes my mood 360 degree and it consumes less time. But in finals or any exams I try to have
good amount of sleep and healthy diet

10. Have you noticed any changes in your mental health over the past year? If so,

what have they been?

We all go through some trauma which changes us, I encountered a friendship breakdown which
traumatized me as we have been together since childhood, yet a time came where we had to let go of
our bond for some reasons.

11. How do you practice self-compassion and acceptance in your mental health

journey?

12. How do you feel society could better support individuals struggling with mental

health issues?

13. What role do personal relationships play in either supporting or impacting your

mental health?

Personal relationships play major role on impacting mental health as a person gives them whole
privilege and mental peace depends on how you are being treated by your fellows. Our mood relies on
them this is what makes us weak.

14. How do you navigate or manage societal expectations that may affect your

mental well-being.

First, my personality is strong enough where I only let my close ones to have the authority on influencing
me. I don’t let society affect or influence my mental wellbeing. I give all this credit to my father who
raised us well and not let society affect our mental health.

SUMMARY
A person is responsible for his own mental health
therefore one should care about his mental wellbeing and
also encourage others. One should also give themselves
alone time where they forget about the world and expects
less from society.
