Topic: HEART OF THANKSGIVING

Text: Psalm 100: 1 - 5

THANKSGIVING is the act of expressing gratitude (showing appreciation)

A heart of Thanksgiving is a heart that is full of the reality of the person of God I.e. the person of God
must be real and clear to one, the things God has done for one, the things God has not done for one, the
things God will do for one.

Thanksgiving is all about God

Psalm 100: 3

The first thing you must have in mind is that he is God: He made you. And that you are alive and here is
because of Him. For in him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17: 28 (KJV).

It does not matter how rough, bad, terrible, ugly the year has been

It does not matter how many times you fell sick and visited the hospital or even stayed in the hospital

It does not matter how many times you went hungry, days without food.

It does not matter the number of disappointment, carryovers, delays you encountered this year.

In all this things He still remains God.

How many of you can pay for the Air you breath.

Average cost of oxygen now for an adult is #4500 per hour, #108,000 per day, #3.24 million per month,
#38.88 million per year.

What of the blood that circulate in our body, our organs that are still functioning.

Psalm 100: 5 (AMP): For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness
and truth endure to all generations.

The song writer says 'I will bless the Lord at all time his good'

Did the song writer specify the time?, No, he said at all times
In the morning, afternoon, evening, night.

In good times, in bad times, in difficult times, in trying times, in perilous times, just name it. At all times.

Secondly the reality and joy of what God has done for you must be evident in your heart. What has God
done for you this year, the healings, breakthrough, deliverances, appointments, promotion, increase,
enlargement, miracles, etc

The song writer says count you blesses and name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord
has done.

Psams 103: 2-5 (AMP): Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one
of] all His benefits—3:Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your
diseases, 4:Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns
you with loving-kindness and tender mercy; 5:Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at
your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong,
overcoming, soaring]!

God has done so much for us this year and He is deserving of our Thanks.

Thirdly for the things He is yet to done and for the hard times.

Job 1:20-21AMP:Then Job arose and rent his robe and shaved his head and fell down upon the ground
and worshiped 21 :And said, Naked (without possessions) came I [into this world] from my mother’s
womb, and naked (without possessions) shall I depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;
blessed (praised and magnified in worship) be the name of the Lord!

For the appointment you trusted him for and it didn't come, promotion, better life, whatsoever it is that
didnt materialize Thank him. For all things work together for good to them that love him and to them
that are called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28)
