Responsibilities for plant manager
• Delivers on Plant Reliability, Quality and Quantity Demands • Ensures delivery of the quality and quantity of product required by the business • Applies the elements of Process Safety • Develops long and short term plans for improving safety, reliability and efficiency • Models exemplary safety behavior • Participates in the capital improvement plan for reliability, growth, safety, environmental, and efficiency • Monitors predetermined preventative maintenance measures designed to minimize equipment related downtime supporting production/warehouse • Meets customer requirements by managing plant operations according to established company policy • Responsible for purchasing and/or approving materials for shop, facilities, tooling, fixtures, , under the guidance of the General Manager • Support Market Business Leader (MBL) in the development and execution of actions to maintain a positive relationship with external stakeholders in the market
Qualifications for plant manager
• Liaise with key stakeholders in the system – Planning, Logistics, Sales, HR and Marketing on delivering business needs • Part of the Supply Chain Leadership Team and help to drive the overall SC agenda in line with the organizational needs • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field • A minimum of 5-7 years in a plant management role, preferably in an engineered-to- order manufacturing environment • Ability to organize, manage, and control a variety of technical and manufacturing operations including industrial engineering, machining, production planning, and scheduling • Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment and rail load out operations
