partner during April-September this fiscal
• The US has emerged as India's biggest trading partner during April-
September 2023, with bilateral trade between the two countries
declining by 11.3% to USD 59.67 billion during the period.

• A three-member delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) examined Metro
rail works in Agra, Kanpur and Lucknow which are being constructed under Uttar
Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation(UPMRC).

Union Government to exit Hindustan
Zinc Ltd, but over an extended period
• The Union Government of India has decided to exit Hindustan Zinc
Ltd (HZL) over an extended period of time. This means that the
government will sell its remaining stake in HZL.
