WIRINGS

NO WARNING SIGNS

1.10.3.5 d. Illumination shall be provided for all

working space about electrical equipment .
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Provide covers for exposed wires and panel
boards
- Provide warning signs for electrical room
- Provide markings for the amperage of the
circuit breaker
- -Provide covers for unused openings of
circuit breakers
4.10.3.3 Outlet Boxes to be Covered. In a
completed installation, each outlet box shall
be provided with cover unless covered by
luminaire (fixture) canopy, lamp holder,
receptacle or similar device.
Art.1.10.para4.All splices and joints and the free ends
of the conductor shall be covered with an insulation
equivalent to that of the conductors.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Provide covers for unused openings of
switches and junction boxes
- Live wires must be appropriately
insulated and covered to prevent
direct contact
1.10.2..2 para.2

1.10.3.3. a. Unobstructed Exit. Where

the location permits a continuous
and unobstructed way of exit travel
single entrance ways to the working
space shall be permitted.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Provide adequate space to enable free
and unobstructed movement for
maintenance men or electrician
- Remove obstructing materials such as
rubbish and old stuffs from the electrical
room
- Designate room intended for storage
Unplugged Emergency Lights

Sec. 10.2.5.11para.c.6 An emergency lighting system

shall either be continuously in operation or shall be
capable of repeated automatic operation without
intervention
Sec. 10.2.5.11para.a.2 Illumination of
means of egress shall be continuous
during the time that the condition of
occupancy require that the means
for egress be available for use.

Sec.8.Prohibited Acts:
Unilluminated Exit

Penalty 12,000.00 to 25,000.00

RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Ensure that Emergency Lights are
plugged at all times
- Provide Sufficient illumination to
stairways and exit ways
INAPPROPRIATE TYPE OF
SERVICE DROP WIRE
UNSAFE DUE TO POSSIBLE DIRECT
CONTACT TO STEEL VERTICAL STAIRS

Sec.8.Prohibited Acts
Obstructing or blocking the Exit
Ways

Penalty 12,000.00 to 25,000.00

RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Replace with appropriate service
drop wire
- Abate hazard by relocating wire
line connection
Art. 2.30.para.5
Conductors shall
have a vertical
clearance of not less
than 2500 mm
above the for
surface.
VERTICAL
CLEARANCE NOT
APPROPRIATE
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Provide lift pole or
- Consider an alternative
power source connection
• Service conductors shall have a clearance of not
less than 1000 mm from windows that are
designed to be opened doors, porches,
balconies, ladders, stairs, fire escapes or similar
locations.

Proximal Distance of wiring to

balcony
Unprotected wires

Proximal Distance of wring to

balcony and window
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Conceal wirings in a rigid metallic
conduit or electrical metallic tubing
- Relocate or rearrange wirings in such a
way that it wont obstruct exit ways and
pose hazard
1.10.2.2

Water Line
Connection

Electrical Line
Connection
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Provide enclosures for wirings that
might be exposed to water leaks
- Separate the electrical
connection away from the water
line connections
Untidy wirings

Art. 1.1(Requirements for Electrical Installations)

Electrical equipment shall be installed a “neat
and workmanlike manner”

Unprotected wires
RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Conceal wirings with
appropriate tubing for aesthetics
purposes
COMMENTS

1. On the distribution of lighting load. The lighting load on its ideal

circuit should only have twelve (12) individual fixture or unit.
Whereas, the plan under scrutiny has the minimum of 14 and
maximum of 30 lighting unit. We took note that the individual
lighting unit is at 40 watts. Although not economical on the owner
side yet would be an efficient circuit design based from the
recommendation stipulated on the PEC.
2. Size of grounding wire for the main distribution panel should be
only 14mm² based from table 2.50.6.13 minimum size of
equipment grounding conductors for grounding raceway and
equipment.
