Díaz (2018): In the thesis entitled "Depression and
family functioning in young university students"
conducted at the Autonomous University of the
State of Mexico. aims to establish the relationship
between depression and school functioning.
As for the difference by sex in both variables, no
statistically significant difference was found.

establish the relationship between depression and

inhabitants of the Villa Club Urbanization of the
Tinguiña-Ica district, 2021. The study method was
descriptive, correlational and non-experimental
methodological design of cross-sectional cohort. The
instrument used was the Beck Scale (21 items) and for
the variable of Anxiety the Hamilton scale (14 items)
applicable for both sexes. Its population was 120
people and its sample of 75 from an Urbanization. The
results showed that 88% of the inhabitants have a
minimum level of depression, however, in the variable
anxiety, 62.70%
it presents a mild level of anxiety, followed by 24% of
the inhabitants who present a moderate level. It was
concluded that there is no relationship between
depression and anxiety, but it is noted that the level of
anxiety has affected the inhabitants of the
Urbanization.
