Question 1

Explain how the contexts of communication can influence the HR department of an organization
to choose the best candidate. (Max word 300, Marks 5)

Answer:

Every organization trusts good communication to grow big and achieve their strategic goals. The
higher excellence of communication explains the company’s value and priorities as it connects
both internal and external groups.
There are three main contexts of communication that influence the HR department to do various
things for the organization. These are
1. Organizational context: organizational context occurs within a particular social
environment system which consists of some individual group they are trying to achieve
the organizational goals and objectives and this sort of action is made by the HR group.
The HR department made this in some very formal and professional way to select the
best employees to do the task, their task is highly structured and well organized. For
example: X organization needs to make the annual report for this year. So the HR
department will select those employees who are expert in excel and finance work and
divide them into teams to do the work in a timely and very professional way.
2. Professional Context: This refers to the various forms of speaking, writing, listening
skills so as a HR department they must need to carry out employees' individual skills. For
example: if any employees are very much good in communication or give the best
 presentation then the HR department chooses his/her to represent their organization in the
marketplace. Those who are expert in finance can handle all the financial data like the
revenue sector, total asset sector etc.
3. Personal context: It defines the physiological difference from one person to another, it
can be some difference of culture that can affect the communication. Every employee
adapts themselves in the organization. So the HR department helps every employee based
on their creativity, their skills, culture and so on.

The HR department people are the ones who communicate the most critical things such as the
company's overview , hire the best candidate, salaries and wages etc. the HR department selects
the best candidates who can successfully do the organizational task and give the best contribution
to the organizations.

Give some examples of the categories of business communication NSU authority uses regularly.

Answer:

Business communication is a process of sharing information and ideas and thoughts about
something people are working on together. Effective business communication is pretty much
essential for the success and growth of every organization or institution and there’s no difference
for the north south university. NSU authorities follow some steps to connect with their
employees, teachers and their students. Some of them are :
1. First NSU authority maintains a hierarchy system to maintain a good relationship with
the faculty and it is called formal communication. If any faculty wants to communicate
with VC sir, then he must follow the formal way. For example if any faculty wants to
leave due to this pandemic or some personal issue, he/she should maintain some
hierarchy system. First he /she must inform his/her problem to the department of
chairmen that he/she works under him/her to follow the hierarchy system. Than the
department of this particular chairman will inform this sort of problem to the honorable
VC sir.( upward, downward, lateral communication)
 2. Internal operational communication: When NSU employees communicate inside the
organization in some matter.
3. External operational communication: when NSU authority communicates outside of
the organization but for the business purpose. For example: NSU made another branch in
300 feet so they need to take loan from the bank. Another example is NSU admission
advertisements in social media, newspaper etc.
4. Personal communication: when any employees or any faculty communicate with NSU
authority inside or outside in the organization (nsu) but not for the organizational
purposes. For example: MR.x faculty wants to leave for PHD so he can communicate
with the honorable VC sir outside in the organization in this sort of matter.

Rewrite the following letter focusing on the conversational style.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to request reimbursement for covered services I received through Penny Lane, DNP,
CNM, IBCLC and Believe Midwifery Services, LLC, which operates as a cash-only practice.

The services of Believe Midwifery are very cost effective. In Indianapolis, IN, a hospital birth
with no interventions costs approximately $ 14,000 to $18,000. The cost of my homebirth was
much less, and the care I received was much more time intensive and thorough.

Please also bear in mind that my labor included the complication of premature rupture of
membranes (PROM) at X:XX PM on DAY, DATE. Our baby was born at X:XX PM on DAY,
DATE - nearly 46 hours later. Management of PROM often includes admission to hospital with
increased duration of stay, administration of antibiotics, induction of labor, and cesarean section

due to the evidence based care and careful management of Believe Midwifery Services, I was

hours later at 10:00 AM on Saturday, 17 April 2021. The management of the PROM often gives

duration, antibiotics, labor induction, and the cesarean section after 24 hours of rupture. This will
create an expense over $ 35,000. Only because of the evidence and careful inspection by Believe
Midwifery Services, I was tension free at my home and they safely delivered my baby without
any infection, after 46 hours of rupture and with a cost of 1/6.

I am asking for repayment of my maternity expenses totaling $ 5903.00.

2,600 more apartments, on 50 acres of undeveloped land, over the next three to 10 years.

According to the Irish Independent the google and the blue chip companies has prompted a rise
in the population of international professionals around Dublin's Docklands region which will
build apartments and lands for the next 3 to 10 year.

In social media marketing, it is common practices to leverage social ties to promote business.
However, whether do social ties matter for buyers' purchase behavior? Combining the
transaction utility theory with the motivations of social interaction, we conducted an empirical
study by using the trading data of a large social media platform (i.e., WeChat). The following
conclusions are reached: the buyers with strong social ties with sellers reveal higher purchase
frequencies than those with weak social ties. However, such marketing effects of social ties can
be attenuated by buyers’ attitudes towards social media marketing, for buying higher-priced
goods. Finally, we also provide suggestions for social media marketing practice and insights for
future research.

The most popular word in this year is Corona which is a virus also known as Covid-19. It has
changed many people's lives in this very short period. The birthplace of this virus is China, and
when this virus created a massacre situation in China it did not stop it from being hampered
globally. It has been two years since this virus came into the knowledge of people until now no
100% usable vaccine is produced. Millions of people already lost their life in this battle of
pandemic. No government in this world or any other organizations like WHO, UN are not able to
tackle this pandemic situation.

This pandemic is hampering people's lives in several ways, this is a kind of virus, which spreads
very easily, and it is a communicable disease. People always need to use safety masks and other
safety clothing to keep themselves away from the virus. In one hundred and eighty people will
get affected and get affected due to this novel coronavirus. Developed countries like the United
States of America, Canada, and Italy suffered a lot. Their GDP fell and other businesses went out
of business due to this pandemic. For this pandemic, every government authorized a complete
lockdown in order to keep people safe. In some countries like Bangladesh, the government
regulated curfew so that no one gets out of the house.

However, this Covid-19 affected each human being personally and they lost their closed ones. In
my personal life, I have suffered a lot for this pandemic. When this virus struck Bangladesh at
first, my parents were infected in the first wave. I almost lost my parents in this pandemic and it
was very tough for me to manage all the things, I was also suffering from sickness but I served
my parents as far as I could. Managing all the pressure from university and taking care of my
parents when both of them were hospitalized was not easy for me.

It created a massive impact on my life of how to manage things alone and how weak we human
beings are. A simple virus is killing the whole world in just a blink of an eye. I would also say
this virus also helped me in some way, which is making me self-dependent and responsible in a
way. It also taught me the meaning of life and to live it. Life is so uncertain and people must live
it no matter what after all we only live it once.

In Conclusion, we must all love each other and take care of each other because we never know
what is waiting for us in the next stage of our life or in the next minute of our lives. People must
be kind to each other and also utilize their precious time because when I was in the corridor of
the ICU unit of the hospital waiting for my parents' recovery, that time will make people think
about how short life can be.
