Clinical Physiology Practical
1.Places the middle finger of left palm firmly on the inter-costal space horizontal to 0.5
ribs with other fingers not touching the chest wall, on one side of the chest
2.Strikes the middle finger with the percussing finger by moving the wrist joint and 01
after each stroke immediately lifts the percussing finger

to say whether he is being touched at one or two points.

and repeat the test till two separate points are appreciated by the subject as two points.
5. Repeat the procedure in the other forearm of the subject and compare. 0.5

2. Bring the tip of your index finger to the eye level of the subject keeping a 0.5
distance of 25 cm from the subject's eye.
4.Ask the subject to look straight at a distant object and then ask him to 0.5
look immediately at the finger tip brought close to his eyes.
5. Examine pupillary reflex (both direct and consensual) by focusing light to 0.5
the eye of the subject. For this, focus the light by bringing the light from the
side of the head of the subject and by placing a cardboard between both
eyes
