1. This task is implemented to give exposure to students to
combine theories and practical knowledge methods in
technical and vocational fields.
TASK PURPOSE 2. This task is implemented to train students with the skills to
think, share and discuss ideas..
3. This task is implemented to apply oral and written
communication skills.
ASSESSMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

You are tasked with completing the following practices (1-5) to demonstrate your proficiency
in using Microsoft Excel software. Make sure to follow the given instructions and submit
your completed report of your findings.

1) Practice 1: Define a problem from the real-life environment.

2) Practice 2: Discuss with your groupmates and come up with
solutions for that problem (At least 5 solutions).
3) Practice 3: Discuss with your groupmates and come up with
solutions for other groups problems (5-Groups) (At least 3
solutions).
4) Practice 4: All groups and lecturer discussions. Lecturer to
evaluate the solutions.
5) Practice 5: Each group to take picture of the proposed problem
and the suggested solutions. Prepare Excel file.
Submission:
Save your file with your name and student ID as the file name (e.g., “Name_12345678.docs")
and submit it by the specified deadline in Author.
Each student must write his/her answers to the FIVE (5) practices with a written report of
not more than THREE (3) and not less than TWO (2) pages. The assessment report must be
sent in soft copy (Excel) format to the lecturer through AUTHOR.

DURATION OF ASSESSMENT:
This assessment is given for a period of FOUR (4) HOURS.

EXECUTION OF TASK:
The proposed activities are as follows:

Activities Hour
1) Read the practice and carefully think how to get the correct solution. 1st Hr.
2) Plan activities individually. 2nd Hr.
3) Make discussions in class on the best ideas to solve the practice.
4) Perform discussion among class members.
- To solve practices, you might use help or others. 3rd Hr.
- Drafting and preparing assessment report. 4th Hr.
The assessment report must contain the following:
1. Front page (assessment title, Student name & matric card number).
2. Introduction. (Few lines about your problem).
3. Background about your problem (One page).
3. Proposed solutions to the problem (Excel File).
3. Discussion and Conclusion (Few lines).
4. References.
ASSESSMENT SUBMISSION DATE: 04/12/2023 at 5:30pm
ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS:
1. Assessment to be sent to AUTHOR (Individual Activities).
2. Assessment to be in Excel format.
3. File name to be in the format as: (YourName_12345678.xlsx).
4. The report to be send before the due date.
