9N4453 Heavy Duty Abrasion - This has 50% more wear material than 9W1453
but the profile is not going to work in all applications - too big.
 New Retainer For 4/5" Heavy Duty Tips - GET 90-17 November 16, 1990 - New
H.D. tips have larger pin hole than standard tips - Use 6Y9459 retainer. The same
6Y2527 pin should still be used. (3G9549 retainer should still be used

Track Loaders

943B/8WF - Program was cancelled in Grenoble before machine went into

production. 15 pilot machines sold to Italian Dealer with understanding that Cat
would NOT support them. Dealer also had some parts but when they're gone
there'll be no more. Some 943B parts are common with 943, i.e., undercarriage,
lift arms, bucket, some implement hydraulics but the rest are unique. Cat taking
position that these are not Track Loaders.

Track Roller Frame

D10 84W - Bracket that support caps (9P9252) go on is part of complete support
that is part of frame assembly (7G0135 & 4). If problem is cracking of bracket
engineering leave it alone or weld. The crack tends to relieve the stress and deters
any further cracking. Complete support should not be serviced due to alignment
and machining required.

Turbo Cartridge Group

1N3088 - Shows a lock plate 1N3259 which is not correct. Correct lock plate is
7W0468 which engineering had to release to make correction. They did not
change EDS record because 1N3088 is CRB 4W1225 which shows the new
7W0468.

Turbo Clamp & Adapter

9N6325 and 1W2431 will not fit on turbo (1W3310, 9N6568 gp) shown in book.
These were released for larger turbo. Smaller one takes 1W7735 adapter and
1W5455 clamp. These are for straight line out of turbo.

Acceptable Cores for Remanufactured ABB Turbo Cartridges (3500 Series Engines) -
The following is a complete list of acceptable cores for Remanufactured ABB turbo
cartridges used on 3500 series engines.

Also. . .we'd like to remind you that it is absolutely necessary to attach the turbo serial
number plate to these cores. In most cases, the serial number is the only way to identify
the core. Therefore, NO CREDITS WILL BE ISSUED TO CORES WITH MISSING
SERIAL NUMBER PLATES. Serial number plates are attached to compressor wheel
housings on Older units. They need to be removed and returned with cores. On newer
units, serial number plates are attached to the bearing housing and no removal will be
necessary.
