Small businesses are disappearing and being replaced by large multinational

companies. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

In this day and age, the closure of small companies is becoming increasingly
prevalent and they are being replaced by multinational businesses. It may be true
that the disappearance of small businesses brings some benefits; however, I think
that the disadvantages of this trend outweigh the positives.

On the one hand, there are irrefutable advantageous impact of replacing small
businesses with multinational companies. Indeed, multinational companies provide
a broader range of products that local and small business do. This is because large
and multinational often take the precedent in their industry of field so wider range
of products will be sold. which in turn might lead to a decrease in people’s
attention to miniature companies. What is more, large or international businesses
surely offer such wider job opportunities than small ones because they have a
larger capital and interests, potentially resulting in a boost of profits and better
economic for the countries.

However, I hold a strong belief that the above-mentioned advantages of replacing

small businesses with multinational ones are overshadowed by its significant
drawbacks. First of all, small, local companies are more aware of local needs and
demand for specific products or benefits. They would rather focus on a particular
type of products than try to cover a wide range of products like bigger ones do,
potentially leading to a provision of top-quality products on sale for the customers.
Furthermore, miniature companies support local communities and get involved in
their activities. They really do careful researches to understand what the locals
need and what kind of difficulties they are experiencing, thereby producing
merchandises that will help the local people; whereas multinational companies
would concentrate on the profits they receive from selling goods rather than the
consumer market.
To summarize, although the widespread phenomenon of replacing miniature
businesses may exert several positive effects on economic and societies, I still
contend that these benefits are eclipsed by the detrimental impacts.
