Setting up PowerMic Mobile on Your Phone

The following tip sheet provides download and setup instructions for PowerMic Mobile, and how to use PowerMic
Mobile with Epic for voice recognition and voice-to-text. For Download and Setup, this Tip Sheet needs to be open on
your device and the steps must be followed in order. Images are included for both iOS and Android devices.

Download and Setup


1. Visit the App Store or Google Play to download PowerMic Mobile to your device.
2. After downloading the app to your device, click this LINK.
3. The link loads the Getting Started: PowerMic Mobile – Mobile App Configuration page.
4. At the bottom of the page, click the link for either iOS or Android (depending on your device).

5. For iOS Device: If prompted with “Open in PowerMic Mobile?” select Open.
For Android Device: If prompted with “Open With” select PowerMic Mobile.

6. The PowerMic Mobile application opens. Select Start.

7. For Upstate, Login settings default to Profile 1.


8. At this point, your device is configured to accept a Login to use PowerMic Mobile.

PowerMic with Epic


1. Login to Epic Hyperspace.
2. In the Main Toolbar (top left), click Dragon Login.
3. Nuance Dragon Medical One opens.
4. Review this screen to ensure that Nuance PowerMic Mobile is selected as the Microphone.
5. Click OK.

6. Nuance Dragon is now ready in Epic Hyperspace.
a. Note: A picture of a phone will appear as an indicator of Microphone selection.

7. Return to PowerMic Mobile on your device.


8. In the Enter User Name Field, enter your User ID.
9. Click Log In.
10. The application will search for and connect to the active Epic Hyperspace session.

11. Upon connection, PowerMic is available to begin voice-to-text or voice recognition commands. The session to
which PowerMic Mobile is connected displays at the top.
