Written or Oral Questions

Answer each question in as much detail as possible, considering your organisational
requirements for each one.

1. Outline different legislation that you will need to consider when working with
digital technology information. (5 marks)
I need to ensure that I don't take my ideas further that happen to be legally owned by
other people’s registered ideas, designs or creations.
Make sure to avoid that i happen to have designed something that already exists, and to
do this, need to make the necessary checks, making sure that my ideas, developments and
creations haven’t already been registered and aren’t legally owned by someone else.
This can involve examining the relevant databases and conducting thorough
the research. This is a very important and an essential part of work because if
I happen to have designed something that already exists, the owner of that
design can take legal action against me or my company. Below is the list of Australian
laws that may be relevant to the digital solutions.
-Copyright act 1968
-Designs act 2003

-Privacy act 1988
-Patents act 1990

with digital technology and information. (5 marks)

solutions that may be relevant to your own workplace and describe how they are

research that you could introduce into your workplace. How would your workplace
benefit from this new trend or innovation? (10 marks)

5. Outline the key elements that you would consider when evaluating whether
your chosen digital solution was fit for purpose. (10 marks)
