Structuring SYMMS - SEM IV Project Work 2021-23

• 3 Separate Projects to be prepared for
o General Management
o Functional Specialisation - Industry Related
o Social Relevance

• Guidelines for the Project format are as follows: -

o Introduction
o Objectives, Significance, Scope
o Research Methodology – Primary Research will be given weight age
o Literature Review – Compulsory for General Mgt. Project and
Specialisation Projects.
o Findings/Analysis
o Conclusions and Recommendations
o Bibliography and References

• The executive summary signed by Students should be submitted to their

respective specialization stream Coordinators.
• Students should submit the soft copy of their project reports (all 3) in pdf
format and the project presentation in ppt format by email to their
respective specialization stream Coordinators by or before 15th October
2023.

• The evaluation will be as follows – Project Writing (60 marks), Project

Presentation in PPT format (20 marks) and Project writing and
presentation based Viva-voce performance (20 marks).
• The students will have to connect with Industry (For Functional Specialisation
Project) and NGOs (For Social Relevance Project).
• Forms to be attached in Report are : 1) Topic Finalization Form, Certificate,
Declaration by the Student
• Final Project reports (all 3) in hard copy to be submitted to the Institute
by or before 15st October 2023.
• Viva-voce examination will be conducted post submission of project reports
and theory subjects written examinations.
• Any other information will be communicated to the students at later stage.

This is to inform SYMMS students that for the partial fulfillment of the course
they need to prepare a project in the Fourth semester on any topic related
Finance, Marketing HR, Operations and IT. Guidelines for Project Preparation are
as follows:

All projects should be typed on A4 sheets, Font Size 12, Times New Roman, one and
a half spacing on executive bond paper. The project report shall have appropriate
chapter scheme and be presented in total indicative pages of 60-80.

Project Report Format:

1. Cover Page: Refer to Annexure 1

2. Certificate: Refer to Annexure
3. Declaration: Refer to Annexure 3
4. Index:
▪ Table of Content – Details of content page number wise
▪ List of Tables and Charts - Numbered tables and charts with details of
page numbers where they are presented.
5. Executive Summary: Executive summary should contain synopsis of report
in brief.
6. Report: Detailed Structure –
▪ Chapter 1: Introduction
▪ Chapter 2 : Literature Review
▪ Chapter 3: Objective of study and Research Methodology
