Note: 1) Diversity/utilization is not applied in calculation of lighting, fan and other fixed loads. It was considered only for general socket outlets.
2) Three phase line current in each panel is taken by dividing single phase currents by 3 assuming three phase balanced load. But practically single phase currents can not be converted to balanced three
phase system. For this reason additional 10% is added for single phase currents.
3) 20% additional margin was added for the future expansions for all consumer units except the CUs for fixed loads and CU-LM & CU-WT (only 10% was added for those CUs).
4) For the socket out lets, following currents were taken. * 13A =1A, 13A dedicated Socket= 7A.
5) Rating of MCCBs/MCBs were selected based on design current & unexpected imbalance of single phase loads etc.
6) All Consumer Units are designed with spare breakers for future expansions.

170 2) Design current is taken with the future expansion loads in all panels. a) In>Ib & It>In
171 3) The reference for the correction factors is IEE BS 7671 18 th edition b) Criteria for Voltage drop, Vd as follows,
172 4) Equation for the derated current carrying capacity, I t = Iz×Cg×Ca×Ci×Cc From Transformer to Incomer panel - 0.4% & from Incomer panel to MDB - 0.6%
Where Cg - grouping factor, Ca - correction for ambient temperature, Ci - correction for thermal From MDB to FDBs - 2.0% (total Voltage drop at FDB < 3.0%) From MDB to DBs of other

insulation, Cc - factor for type of the protective device or installation condition loads - 3.6%to(total
From FDBs DBsdrop at DB <+ 4.6%)

174 5) Equation for Voltage drop = L×Ib×z/1000
to mechanical loads - 1.0% (total voltage drop < 4.0%)
175 From DBs to lighting points - 1.0% (total voltage drop < 5%)
176 From DBs to loads other than lighting/mechanical loads - 1.0% (total Voltage drop <5%)
Maximum Voltage drop for lighting circuit is lees than 5%, this is acceptable since this
