Floods in Ecuador

Ecuador is a wonderful country which has Coast, Andean, and Amazon regions
respectively. However, since January Ecuador has been suffering from current floods
because of the Ciclón Yaku. This has affected especially the Coast and Andean regions but
mostly the former.

Many people in the Coast have lost their houses because the high of the water has been
increasing very fast these last months. In the latter region, the land erosion has increased
as a result from the continuing raining. Therefore, Alausi a town in the province of
Chimborazo has suffered multiple landslides result from many popular places such as
stadium, school, historical houses, and streets have lost.

In Guayaquil City, the problem has been so dramatic that many street avenues are now,
below water. Many zones are without energy, trees have fallen due to the strong winds
and a lot of property and infrastructure has been damaged. But, sadly the government
has not done much to resolve these problems. Actually, the president of Ecuador
Guillermo Lasso has tried to do the best for solving these problems, but it is not enough.
Other provinces with a similar situation are Balao and Tenguel. Personnel from the military
and SNGRE helped to evacuate several families from flood-damaged homes. Thus,
Riobamba and Tulcan cities have induced low temperatures due to the floods. In the
former many crops have been lost because of this. The latter city has the same issue,
animals and plants haven’t survived due to the heavy fluvial precipitations.

As a manner of conclusion, all the people in Ecuador expect that the president resolves
these problems and that they won't became a crisis for the Ecuador..
