Proposal of the telecommunication design, components, and justifications

The telecommunication design for IMC Tower should include several

components. IMC Tower houses a dedicated server room to accommodate the core
infrastructure of the telecommunication system. The server room has high-
performance servers, storage devices, and networking equipment to ensure reliable
and secure data transmission. A dedicated server room within IMC Tower KLCC
provides a centralized location for hosting and managing critical network
infrastructure, servers, and other equipment. The server room provides a central hub
for organizing and managing network cabling, patch panels, and connectivity
infrastructure. This structured approach simplifies cable management, reduces signal
interference, and allows for easier troubleshooting and modifications in the future. A
server room offers enhanced security measures to protect sensitive data and
equipment to ensure that valuable data and systems hosted within the server room are
well-protected from unauthorized access, theft, or tampering.

Each floor of IMC Tower is equipped with strategically placed switch racks.
These racks serve as the central hubs for local networking within each floor,
providing connectivity for computers, telephones, and other network devices. The
switch racks are designed to handle high data traffic volumes and support advanced
network protocols. The switch rack provides an organized and easily accessible
location for network switches and related equipment. It allows for proper cable
management, labeling, and arrangement of devices, simplifying troubleshooting and
maintenance tasks. This organized approach reduces downtime and improves overall
operational efficiency. Switch racks are designed to accommodate multiple switches
and other networking equipment compactly and space-efficiently. Compact switch
racks help ensure efficient utilization of limited space while providing scalability for
future expansion. Switch racks are designed with proper ventilation and airflow
management to dissipate heat generated by the switches. This helps prevent
overheating and ensures optimal performance and longevity of the switches.

IMC Tower has a centralized Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX)

system in the server room or a dedicated area. The PABX system efficiently handles
internal and external voice calls, voicemail services, call routing, and other telephony
features. It provides seamless communication within the building and facilitates
external communication with clients and stakeholders. A PABX system allows for
efficient call routing within IMC Tower KLCC. It enables calls to be directed to the
appropriate departments or extensions quickly and accurately, reducing call handling
time and improving communication efficiency. By implementing a PABX system,
IMC Tower KLCC can benefit from cost savings in various ways. The system allows
internal calls to be routed over the data network, eliminating the need for external
phone service providers for inter-office communication.

IMC Tower is equipped with a high-speed data network infrastructure. It

utilizes Ethernet-based technologies, such as switches, routers, and firewalls, to
ensure reliable data transmission and secure connectivity. The data network supports
fast internet access, interdepartmental communication, and access to cloud services. A
high-speed data network infrastructure ensures fast and reliable communication
within IMCTower KLCC. It allows seamless transfer of data, voice, and video,
enabling tenants and internal staff to communicate efficiently and collaborate
effectively. High-speed data improves the overall user experience for tenants and
visitors within IMC Tower KLCC. This positively impacts tenant satisfaction, attracts
businesses, and enhances the reputation of the building.

IMC Tower leverages unified communication services to enhance

collaboration and productivity. This includes features such as video conferencing,
instant messaging, presence information, and email and calendar systems integration.
Unified communication services enable efficient communication and seamless
integration across various devices and platforms. Unified Communication Services
enables employees within IMC Tower KLCC to communicate seamlessly,
irrespective of their preferred communication method. Unified Communication
services support mobility and remote work by allowing employees to access
communication tools and collaborate from any location and device. With unified
communication, employees can stay connected, participate in meetings, and access
important information and resources, promoting work-life balance and enabling
uninterrupted business operations. Unified Communication services enable efficient
customer service through features like unified contact centers, call routing, and
customer interaction history.
