 Explain the function of each part accurately
 Appreciate the important of plants

One of the plant’s parts is the root,
What is the function of roots? -It delivers water and nutrients to
the plants and provide anchor that
keeps the plant in soil.
(Show a bottled drink and straw, and ask one
pupil to go in front and let him/her sip the liquid (one pupil will volunteer)
inside the bottle.)
What happened to the liquid inside the bottled?
-It transfer to his/her mouth

Good, it is because of the straw that serves as a


way in order for the mouth to absorb the liquid,
so it means roots are like straws that absorbs
water and minerals directly from the soil.

Another part of plant is stem,


What is stem? -It transports water throughout the
plant. The stem is made up of little
tubes.
Very good, stem is like blood vessels that
distributes the nutrients to the different parts of
the body.

Another part is leaf. What is leaf? -It takes in the air and light that a
plants need to live
Very good, leaf is similar to what part of human -leaf is like lungs that serve as a
body in terms of its function? breathing organ of plants.
