Materials
- 2.00 mm & 2.50 mm crochet hooks
- 100 % cotton yarn
- A pair of 6 mm & of 8 mm safety eyes
- Tapestry needle and pins
- Polyfiber fill
- A piece of black EVA foam
- Craft glue

Abbreviations (US Terms)


st = stitch

You will need:


One color for his skin, white for his hair and
shirt, black for his suit and a bit of dark grey for
the gloves.
Oh! And a bit of pink to embroider his cheeks.
I use 100% cotton yarn (8/8 - DK Worsted).
You’ll need a piece of EVA foam to make the
sunglasses.

For Choupette, his white cat, you’ll need


fingering yarn (8/4), suitable for a 2 mm
crochet hook, in white and black.

Finished size:
From head to toe, your finished Karl should
measure more or less 22 cm.
Of course, should you choose a different hook
and yarn, final measures will vary…
Ready? Let’s begin!
Karl is crocheted from his little legs up to his head in rounds…

Leg 1
Start with black…
1. Magic ring of 6 sc
2. Crochet 2 sc in each st (12)
3. to 10. Crochet 12 sc
Fasten off yarn and weave in ends. Set aside.

Leg 2 + Body
Start with black…
1. Magic ring of 6 sc

will look like a jacket. It is not crocheted in
rounds or spirals, but in rows…
