PRACTICAL ACTIVITY 2

In this activity, we will put in practice the knowledge acquired in Unit 1. You will be
asked to complete two different tasks: in the first one you will practice your reading
skills and in the second one, your speaking ones.

Don’t be nervous, you’ll do it great!

Part 1
Here you have three short texts, in which people talks about their free-time. Read
the texts carefully and answer the questions. Don’t forget to use your own words.

Joe lives in Bristol and he loves sports. At school he’s always playing football in physical
education and in the recess. After school he likes doing yoga in the gym or biking with
his brother. He hates computer games and also staying in.

Sarah is from Manchester and she absolutely detest social media. She is the owner of
an Instagram account, but she’s planning on deleting it. She hates how people seem to
be what they’re not. In her free time, she prefers to read a good book not to think about
real life.

Tom is looking forward to summer holidays. He adores travelling and is already

planning his next adventure. He usually travels on his own, but this year his friend
Jessica is going to tag along. It’s going to be great!.

Read the texts again and answer the following questions. Write your answers in a
text document (.doc .pdf) and send it to the tutor for Evaluation.
