Operator Station, Navigation Options:
Navigation between Mimics can be performed via
Matrix Tool: In the Top Tool Bar. Push Icon opens a Matrix
with all accessible Mimics for the present Role.
Navigator: In the Top Tool Bar. Push Icon opens Navigator in lower
right corner. +/- Changes the Level, The 4 arrows changes mimic
based on the mimic order represented in the Matrix.
Move Hold down left mouse button and move mouse will change
Mouse mimic.

Task 1, Log On

Start the transport & feeding groups in the Material transport Department.
o If some causes occur that it is not possible to start. Troubleshoot and abolish
the causes. (Use Device Simulation).
Guidance:
Refer to Step By Step – How to start stop group.
Guidance:
Refer to Step By Step – How to change set point.
Add 2 new points into the Trend View. 1 drag from a mimic and 1 by using the “Add
Tag” feature of the open Trend View.
Guidance:
Refer to Step By Step- How to create trend from OpStation or Point List.
Use some time to explore the other options of the Trend Feature. Include change of
the time horizon, color of trends and thickness of trends.
Save the modified Trend package with a new name. Check the new package is
stored.

Refer to Step By Step- How to edit or delete a trend package.
Export the Trend package View and open exported files for both export options in a
text editor.
Guidance:

Trigger an alarm by changing an analog point value, displayed on one of the Mimics
beyond one of its alarm limits. (Via device simulation)
Monitor the effect in the alarm header and alarm live.
What is the color of the department tab the point belong

Tag finder
Task 1,
Find the tag 110CR02M01, how many places is it located on the mimic?
Try and locate another tag and see the difference between double click on the tag in
list and choose the Go To mimic.

Adjust the axes You can get back to default Right click just above the
scale by using the buttons trend curve and drag the
opposite mouse to adjust horz/vert
of trend curve.
A maximum of more than 16 points can be assigned to a trend package. Based on the horizon
each 10 sec spot value is updated and displayed as trend curve.
2. Multiple Y Axis
scale can also be
set.
You can choose multiple points from ECC V8 Workplace and view the trend for those points or
you can select multiple points from point list and view the plot for the respective points in Point
Trend.

affect the unit trip interlocking in the PLC.
Still the alarm is logged but Press the alarm acknowledge button
once we reset the alarm the
status will be changed.
Click reset button now to reset Now the observe the status
the alarm back to normal state
Alarms can be raised due to various reason such as overload, motor not ready, return signal not
arrived, due to safety switches etc.
Reset the alarm Once the problem is identified Press alarm silence button
and resolved the motor should
be reset back to normal.
Now observe that the status Now the observe the status
changes to ‘ Stopped’. The
motor is ready to start.
Color change/flashing
element/audible alert helps to
inform about the alarm raised.
