at
School Mental Health Project

About the Project


The Government of NCT of Delhi, in collaboration with IHBAS (Institute of Behavioral and
Allied Sciences) and United Way Delhi, announces internship opportunities for Psychology
students. This joint initiative is aimed at addressing the mental health needs of school children
in Delhi through a promotive and preventive model. As pioneers in the field of mental health,
this initiative offers a unique chance for interns to contribute to the well-being of children.
Location: Delhi
Internship Focus
Interns will engage in in-depth qualitative and quantitative research, focussing on various
aspects of psychology related to children and mental health. Additionally, interns will conduct
school visits and actively contribute to the development of Targeted Circle Time Intervention,
Teacher Sensitization and Life Skills curriculum.
Internship Duration
• A minimum of 3 months (extendable up to 6 months or more), starting December, 2023.
• After the initial 3 months, there will be a review of the work done, to determine the
continuation of the internship for the next 3 months. Upon completion of the six
months, interns become eligible to appear for the role of Junior Psychologist.
Eligibility Criteria
• M.A/M.Sc. Clinical/Counselling/Applied Psychology programme
Expected Joining Date
• Immediate joining, on selection (Dec, 2023)
• On selection, candidate should be available for a minimum of 3 months.
Work Type
• Full time "work from office/school" internship.

Work Timings
Working Hours: Full-time “work from office” internship, from 10:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M.
Full time commitment : Interns must be available for a full-time “work from office”
commitment during the specified hours.

PRIOR PREPARATION ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY (about the organisation, job profile,


subject knowledge and other possible expectations of the position).

After the application process, through the above link, the organisation will intimate its
selection process (date, venue etc.-as per their availability).

Points to be noted by all students (opting for placement) mandatorily:


1) Student should actively participate and contribute for self-placement and placements of
their batchmates, too.
2) All the eligible students are required to go through the company website, job descriptions,
location, salary, Company’s business, competitors and any other eligibility criteria etc. You
need to take responsibility for your own preparation & carry your updated CVs.
3) You are required to report at least half-an-hour before the start of any meeting, which is
part of the placement drive (on/off line). Late coming will be noted and taken seriously.
4) In case of online interaction with the organisation (if required), you need to switch “on” your
cameras, throughout the meeting and follow other online meeting norms.
5) You are solely responsible for your conduct during the internship process (and also in case
of delays in the process, which is possible, but not deliberate).
6) You are required to follow the following dress code during the selection process (on/offline):
- For Boys: Clean shaven look, Western Formals with a Tie.
- For Girls: Formals (no big earrings)
