• First, look at indiv scores. Red has no score
less than 50 in major subjects, so she
passed. If UA is 49, she still pass because
it’s minor sub.
• Compute relative weight. Score must be
75 above to get the relative weight. (20%
or 0%). Get the sum. Red’s total relative
weight is 70.
• Compute general average. Multiply score
with the constant relative weight. Add the
GWA.
• Red’s general average is 75.60
• Must meet the 3 requirements.

If the BSMT/BSH applicant failed to pass 3 board


exams, still be given a chance as long as they have:

• 12 months refresher course in accredited


SMT; or
• 12 months post – grad training in
an accredited laboratory.

Section 25. Appeal

Section 26. Reinstatement, Release,


or Replacement of Certificates

the revoked cert. of reg. upon request of
the medtech.

Section 27. Foreign Reciprocity

• Allows foreigners to work here as medical


technologist/take boards as long they also
allow Filipino medtechs to work in their
country as medical technologists.

Section 28. Roster of Medical Technologists

• Roster is prepared annually by the Secretary


of the Board (Commissioner of Civil Service)
