hours before continuing the usage of this product.
Additional ways to maintain your sparkling Zoom! smile
 Avoid staining related habits
 Continue good oral hygiene and stay current on your regular dental
appointments.
 Practice good oral hygiene including thorough tooth brushing, flossing to
remove debris from between the teeth and tongue cleaning.

Post-operative tooth sensitivity

Some patients experience tooth sensitivity for 1 to 3 days after Zoom!
Whitening. There are a number of things you can do to minimize tooth
sensitivity:

 Using the customized take-home trays, you can place a drop of

desensitising toothpaste, into each tooth space of teeth that were
bleached. Seat the tray over the teeth.
 Continue regular daily use of desensitizing toothpastes such as
Sensodyne Rapid Relief or Colgate Pro-relief.
 You may use over-the-counter pain relievers such as Ibuprofen.
 Avoid food and drink that is too cold or hot for the next few days.

Gum Irritation
Trays that extend far into the gum may cause soft tissue irritation. If the trays
extend over your gums and feel uncomfortable, have your dentist trim them.
Whitening touch-ups
Results vary by patient. Anatomy, age, tooth condition, hygiene and starting
shade heavily impact results. You should have realistic expectations about the
final results.

Waiting 24 hours is best to see the final shade of the tooth after it has re-
hydrated — depending on sensitivity; you may wish to wait a bit longer. If your
teeth are not too sensitive, try bleaching a few more times with the take home
products during the first three to five days after your office visit to maximize
your results and attain the whitest shade possible.
