Designed communication type is Ethernet .

Profibus DP/DP or other means of communication to be quoted

The type of communication for the specific project has to be specified below :

Ethernet
Profibus
x By wire
No signals available

Available communication types:

1. Ethernet
2. Other means of communication to be quoted
The type of communication for the specific project has to be specified.

When Ethernet is used, communication set-up specification are provided in the Communication Specification document.
Ethernet IP addresses and type of protocol are to be defined in the Network Link Table (network architecture sheet) provided for the
project.

When Profibus DP/DP is used, the Profibus addresses are defined in the Network Architecture sheet.

The specified bytes are “reserved” addresses into the Filler PLC software. Only assigned (described) signals might be available for
hardware connection (potential free contacts interfacing). Please refer to the project’s specific electric drawings.

2- Signals functional description

SYSTEM MIXER

It is utilized to check the connection to the relevant system. This signal must always be kept at "1".
Communication status

It shows that the SYSTEM has an alarm condition. The machine doesn't stop but generates an "info"
Alarm
message to advise about the system problem and delivery pump is eventually stopped.

It is generated by the SYSTEM as answer to the signal “Cleaning product request” sent by mixer during
Product sending the production phase.
SYSTEM is delivering the product. If the delivery pump is stopped the signal will set to 0.

The MIXER is requested to empty all its content of the tank. The MIXER answers to this request with the
signal “Tank emptying completed” when it is empty. The “Tank emptying request” signal is alternate to the
Tank emptying request “Product runout request” signal.

The MIXER is requested to complete the production. The SYSTEM push all the product to MIXER with
water. The MIXER answers to this request with the signal "Product ruonout completed" when all the
Product runout request product available(>SP) is in the MIXER. “Product runout request” signal is alternative with “Tank emptying
request” signal.

It shows to the MIXER that the SYSTEM is running at the production. This signal must be set to "1" when
Production running the production cycle is started and to "0" only in case an alarm blocks the cycle or in case of stop by the
operator.

It is send to MIXER. The MIXER must keep open the drain valve before the product inlet to permit to
Product priming request
drain all the water present in the pipe that connect MIXER to the SYSTEM.

It is generated by the SYSTEM as answer to the signal “Cleaning product request” sent by mixer during
the production phase. The MIXER in this case must keep positioned the recycle valves before the buffer
Product recycle running
tank product inlet, to permit the recirculation product. If the delivery pump is stopped the signal will set to
0.

It’s generated by the SYSTEM. When the MIXER send “CIP supply line available” the SYSTEM is
authorized to require the line. When the MIXER send “CIP supply valve open”, the system is enabled to
CIP supply line request send sanitizing product. This sequence can be carried simultaneously at the production mode.

It sends to the MIXER the Rinsing cycle has been selected and started on the SYSTEM.

MIXER SYSTEM

Communication status It is utilized to check the connection to the SYSTEM. This signal must always be kept at "1".

It shows when the MIXER is ready to receive the product. Once sent, must be kept to "1" for all the
duration of the production. Without this signal the "SYSTEM" will anyway start (only after the action of the
Product request operator on the start by the local control), carry out all the preparations of the solutions required by the
sequence, and after that it will stop and wait for the signal "Product request". If during the production this
signal is set to "0" the “SYSTEM” will stop and then restart in automatic when the signal rise back to "1".

It shows that the SYSTEM has an alarm condition. The MIXER doesn't stop but generates an "info"
Alarm
message to advise about the system problem.

It is generated by the MIXER as answer to the signal "Tank emptying request" eventually sent by the
Tank emptying
“SYSTEM” at the end of product (product change). It shows that the MIXER product tank is empty and
completed
therefore this sequence can be carried on the next product.

It is generated by the MIXER as answer to the signal “Product runout request” sent by the SYSTEM at
Product runout
the end of production. It shows that the SYSTEM has completed the production cycle and therefore the
completed
runout sequence can be carried on the cycle end.

CIP supply line

It show when the piping of supply line is in safety condition to receive sanitizing product.
available

CIP supply line valve It is generated by the MIXER as answer to the signal “CIP supply line request”.It shows when the valve is
open open to receive sanitizing product. This sequence can be carried simultaneously at the production mode.

It shows when the MIXER is ready to receive the water for the RINSE. Once sent, must be kept to "1" for
all the duration of the rinsing. Without this signal the SYSTEM will anyway start (only after the action of
the operator on the start by the local control), carry out all the preparations of the water required by the
Rinse request sequence, and after that it will stop and wait for the signal "Rinse request". If during the rinsing this signal
is set to "0" the SYSTEM will stop and then restart in automatic when the signal rise back to "1". In case
this signal is required by the SYSTEM to carry on the sequence, an "info" message is generated on the
SYSTEM panel to advise that the SYSTEM is not ready, and eventually delivery pump is stopped.

It shows when the MIXER has completed the rinsing cycle. In this case the SYSTEM complete its
sequence and it will stop.
Rinse completed

The SYSTEM is requested to complete the production. The machine must be push all the product to
MIXER with water. This signal is enabled only when the procedure is not managed from the SYSTEM.
Runout request This function is activatable from operator panel button.
