1.1 Introduction:

The unit is designed based on water quality indicated in section 2. Design basis.

1.2 Scope of Work

The scope of work includes the followings:


- Process design and engineering

- Manufacture and supply of equipment.

1.5 Exclusions from Scope of Supply

The proposed plant is designed to produce treated water as desired and based on the raw water
TDS as described in Section 2.2. The process shall be as follows:

The feed water is to be passed through cartridge filter. It is further pumped online to Cation & anion
units and the product water is taken for storage / use

The process for the Water Deionization plant will be as follows:

Water Deionization Plant

The vast majority of dissolved impurities in modern water supplies are ions such as calcium,
sodium, chlorides, etc. The deionization process removes ions from water via ion exchange.
Positively charged ions (cations) and negatively charged ions (anions) are exchanged for
hydrogen (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-) ions, respectively, due to the resin's greater affinity for
other ions. The ion exchanges process occurs on the binding sites of the resin beads. Once
depleted of exchange capacity, the resin bed is regenerated with concentrated acid and caustic
which strips away accumulated ions through physical displacement, leaving hydrogen or
hydroxyl ions in their place.

Counter current DI plant is new technology for time saving. It calls short cycle Deionization. It takes
only 30-40 minutes for regeneration and takes chemical in low quantity for regeneration as compare
to co-current Deionization units.

Control Philosophy

The Deionization plant provided herewith is controlled manually, anyhow pump on off will be
operate by panel with high and low flow protection.

5.1.0 Price

OWT offers to design, supply, deliver, the Deionization package as described herein at your Site
basis. The prices shall be as per the following details following.

5.4 Warranty

OWT warrants the supplied equipment order in this contract for 12 months from date of start-up.

This warranty does not cover wear and tear and wrongful handling of the plant.
